January 29th Meeting:

A meeting was held at Dee Dee and Earnest's house.  The meeting was called to order by Shea.  Following are highlights of the meeting:

1. On Friday, January 28th a group of family members visited the Kissimmee area to check out hotels for our stay in the area.  The group visited the Nickelodeon Hotel by Holiday Inn and several vacation homes.  After taking into consideration what each had to offer, a decision was made to stay at the Nickelodeon Hotel.  For more information on all this hotel has to offer, click on the Travelers page and follow the links.

2.  The vacation is now scheduled to start on Sunday, July 10th and end on Friday, July 16th.  PLEASE NOTE THIS CHANGE.

3.   The amount that each family is required to set aside for rooms has been increase to $75.35.  This increase is necessary for each family to cover half of the cost of their room.  The fund account will pay for the other half using money earned at fundraisers.  This means each family is now required to deposit $100.35 per month ($75.35 for rooms and $25.00 to purchase supplies).

4.  Everyone needs to make sure they continue to pay the $25.00/month/family that we agreed on.  This money is needed to buy supplies for our fundraisers.  Please note: The $25 per month per family is in addition to the $75.35 per month per family.  The total monthly deposit per month per family is $100.35.

5.  Our liability insurance is due for renewal on FEBRUARY 11, 2005 (not February 20th).  At this time the annual premium is $631.81.  To cover this cost, the premium will be divided up equally per family.  The amount comes to $71.00 per family.

6.  We have adjusted our budget to include admission to at least one theme park and a group breakfast.  The cost of these events will be covered by the fund account.  If we meet all of our goals, the fund account should be able to cover adult and kids' admission to one or more theme parks plus a group breakfast.  And if we should exceed our goals funds will be disbursed back to participating family to use at thier discretion.

If you have questions about any of these changes, please contact Mattie at (561)309-9575 or Shea at (561)254-1913.

October 17th Meeting:

Our first meeting of the "season" was held on Sunday, October 17th at James and Betsy's house.  The meeting was called to order by Willis and Earnest.  Following are highlights of the meeting:

1.   Everyone needs to catch up on paying the $50.00/month per family by the end of October.  ($50.00 for September and $50.00 for October.)  This money is needed to buy supplies for our first sale on October 30th.  It was determined the of the $50.00 per family per month, $25.00 will go to purchase supplies for the sales and $25.00 will be credited to the rooms.

2.   The men are working on finding a trailer to store and haul our supplies in.  James and Terrence are searching the internet, and Willis has been researching the local venues.  He suggested looking in the Lake Okeechobee area for cheaper deals.

3.   Our liability insurance policy is due for renewal on February 20, 2005.  The annual premium last year was $631.81.  We can expect to pay at least that and probably more due to rate increases.  Mattie will be researching economical options.  It was suggested and agreed upon that we will be dividing up the premium equally per family as we did last year.

4.   A rotating schedule needs to be created to allow families an "off-weekend" from Saturday sale events.
